About Hanizome

Hanizome is a traditional and natural dyeing method using only vivid and colorful minerals and rocks found from various strata (layers) of earth originating from region of France, Australia and Bali (Indonesia), bearing the name Provence Yellow, Ayres Rock Red and Bali Islands Gray respectively. The minerals and rocks go through detoxification and sterilization process to ensure they are free of any harmful and toxic substances. After the sterilization process the minerals and rocks are crushed into ultra-fine powder made of particles of less than 1 micron in size by technique known as “tea-grinding hand mills”, a technique for making powdered green tea (mattcha). The powder is then refined and is made into dye. The dying process involves the penetration of dye into fibrous tissues of cotton using alkali ionized water. One of the most distinguishing characteristics of Hanizome dyeing technique is that it does not fade away easily through washing and under the sun light. The colored water produced during Hanizome dyeing process is reusable and can be recirculated due to lack of any harmful substances, making the Hanizome dyeing process safe to both human while being Eco-friendly.

About Bengala-zome

Bengala zome is a natural soil-based dyeing method that uses red iron oxide from soil. The name Bengala or Benigala is the dye substance (iron Oxide) from soil originating from Bengal region of India. Iron oxide contained within soil has a tendency to react to heat. The amount of applied heat determines the shape of iron oxide particles, and different shape of the particles determines the color shade of the dye. Being naturally dyeing method which is both safe to human and environment, Bengala zome dyeing method has been used in variety of textile products. Bengala zome dyeing method for organic cotton was developed for naturally dyed organic cotton and due to its contribution in maintaining the softness of the organic cotton it has been widely used in baby goods and clothing. Bengala zome dyeing method has been certified by Oeko-Tex, an international standard foreseeing use of hazardous substances such as formalin, heavy metals, and carcinogens. The certification guarantees the safety of the dye and its dyeing method.

About Rakuyo-zome

Rakuyo zome dyeing method helps to reduce discoloration in organic fabric, while maintaining the texture of the organic materials for a longer period of time. Furthermore, since Rakuyo zome dyes originate from raw plant source, the dyeing method allows for deeper shades in comparison to other dyeing method. The Rakuyo zome dyes used for “cofucu baby” brand clothing include Lac Color (made from Scale insect), Pomegranate, Gardenia, Catechu, etc.
